Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has issued a stern warning to Tehsildars who went on strike following Vigilance raids. Addressing reporters, the Chief Minister accused the Tehsildars of taking collective leave to shield corrupt practices, emphasizing that the government will ensure public services remain uninterrupted.
Mann announced that the administration would soon recruit thousands of qualified young men and women to fill vacancies, ensuring smooth operations. In the meantime, the responsibility for registries has been assigned to other Tehsil officers to maintain continuity of services.
The Chief Minister criticized the striking Tehsildars for attempting to blackmail the government and reiterated that the administration would not yield to such tactics. He also made surprise visits to Tehsils in Kharar, Banur, and Zirakpur to monitor the situation firsthand.
