Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today handed over a check of Rs 1 crore to the family of Shubkaran Singh, who was killed during the farmers' agitation on the Khanuri border of Punjab-Haryana.
Apart from this, Shubkaran's sister has been given an appointment letter for a government job. It may be mentioned that Shubkaran Singh died due to bullet injury in the clash between the farmers and the security forces in Khannouri about going to Delhi.
The farmers' organizations believe that this shot was fired by the Haryana Police, while the report in this regard is yet to come.
