Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Russia in May to participate in the country's 80th Victory Day parade in Moscow. This annual event, held on May 9, commemorates Russia's victory over Germany in World War II. Leaders from various countries are expected to attend the parade this year.
Reports suggest that a contingent of the Indian Army may also take part in the parade. The Prime Minister of Slovakia has already confirmed his participation.
It is worth noting that Prime Minister Modi had visited Russia in October of the previous year, where he attended the 16th BRICS summit under Russia's chairmanship. If Modi’s visit to Russia in May proceeds as planned, it will occur during ongoing ceasefire negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
