The wildfire situation is continually evolving, and the information below is current as of 7 p.m. (Pacific time) on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021.

Wildfires currently burning in B.C.: 238

Since April 1, 2021:

1,552 wildfires

864,473 hectares of area burned

Active fires by fire centre:

Cariboo: 26

Coastal: 19

Kamloops: 77

Northwest: 5

Prince George: 53

Southeast: 58

Resources:

Firefighters and other personnel currently fighting the fires: 3,238

Out-of-province firefighters: 466

Helicopters and planes supporting ground crews: 124

Evacuations:

Evacuation orders: 35 (-11)

Evacuation alerts: 83 (-7)
