BY connect newsroom, Oct 15, 2024 1:20 PM - REPORT AN ERROR

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had appealed to contest elections without party symbols and to elect panchayats unanimously.

Panchayat elections in Punjab have ended today. Meanwhile, clashes and firing incidents also took place at many places. A person was injured due to firing at Khuda village near Sanur in Patiala district, while there were allegations of occupation of the booth by Aam Aadmi Party workers and supporters in some places.

The special thing is that this time Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had appealed to contest elections without party symbols and to elect panchayats unanimously, but the majority of people did not accept this appeal and preferred to contest elections.
