Punjabi film actress Nirmal Rishi has been honored with the Padma Shri award at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.
President of India Draupadi Murmu gave these awards to many personalities during a function, Nirmal Rishi was also one of them. Nirmal Rishi was selected for this award for his contribution in the field of arts.
Nirmal Rishi belongs to Mansa district. She became famous from the role of Gulabo Masi in her first film Long Da Lishkara in 1983. Notably, the Padma Shri is the fourth highest award in the category of Indian civilian awards. This award is given to those who have performed the best services in their field.
