Punjabi actor Jagjeet Sandhu, during his visit to Connect FM Canada, humorously mentioned that he landed the Bollywood film Diplomat because of his thick, arched eyebrows. While he said it jokingly, there’s some truth behind his words. Diplomat, which stars John Abraham, is set to hit theatres on March 14.
Jagjeet shared that he’s often been asked why he doesn't groom his eyebrows, and with a laugh, he explained, “Thank God for my thick and bushy eyebrows! When I auditioned for the role in Diplomat, the director told me that my eyebrows gave a certain depth and seriousness to my character, which made me a perfect fit for the role.”
Jagjeet, who was recently seen in the Punjabi film Ilti, has a strong theatre background and believes in cinema that is driven by script, not stars. He holds the view that the story should always take precedence. Recently, John Abraham also praised Jagjeet's performance and the role he plays in Diplomat, further acknowledging the impact of his character in the film.
