The producers of 'Maharaj', the debut film of Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, are planning to challenge the stay order issued by the Gujarat High Court. The court has temporarily halted the release of the movie until June 18.
The film was originally scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 14. The legal trouble started when an urgent petition was filed in the Gujarat High Court, citing controversial remarks about the Vaishnava sect and sensitive Hindu sentiments. After considering the petition, the High Court granted an interim injunction against the release of 'Maharaj'.
