BY Connect Newsroom, Feb 12, 2025 12:38 PM - REPORT AN ERROR

In an exclusive interview with Faridoon Shahryar on Connect Cine, Harshvardhan spoke about the overwhelming response to the film’s re-release in India and extended his wishes to Mawra in a unique way.

Who isn’t aware of the immense fan following of Sanam Teri Kasam (2016)? Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the film featured Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane in the lead roles and remains one of Bollywood’s most cherished romantic dramas.

Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane is currently making headlines as she recently tied the knot with actor Ameer Gilani. On this special occasion, her Sanam Teri Kasam co-star, Harshvardhan Rane, shared his heartfelt wishes while also reflecting on losing touch with his colleagues.

In an exclusive interview with Faridoon Shahryar on Connect Cine, Harshvardhan spoke about the overwhelming response to the film’s re-release in India and extended his wishes to Mawra in a unique way.

“I would like to wish her through numbers. I feel it’s a mistake on my part that when this film didn’t receive the expected response, I lost touch with everyone—our directors, producers, actors, including Mawra. She looks beautiful in her wedding pictures, and I hope her glow multiplies, especially with the love Sanam Teri Kasam is receiving on its re-release,” he expressed.

Despite its underwhelming box-office performance at the time, Sanam Teri Kasam remains a fan-favorite, often celebrated as one of Bollywood’s finest romantic films. Responding to the love and demand from fans, the makers have now officially announced a sequel, set to release in 2026.
