Oscar and Grammy-winning composer AR Rahman is celebrating yet another remarkable achievement after winning an award for his outstanding background score in the Malayalam film The Goat Life at the 2024 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA).
Rahman clinched the trophy in the "Score in an Independent Film (Foreign Language)" category, with the prestigious event taking place at the Avalon Theatre in Los Angeles. As Rahman couldn’t attend the ceremony, the film’s director, Blessy, graciously accepted the award on his behalf.
The Goat Life is a poignant adaptation of the bestselling 2008 novel Aadujeevitham by Benyamin. The story follows Najeeb Muhammed, an Indian migrant worker who moves to Saudi Arabia in search of a better life.
