Delhi's Rouse Avenue court has extended the custody of Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal till May 7. After this order of the court, Kejriwal will now stay in Tihar jail during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 26 and the third phase on May 7.

ED had arrested Kejriwal in the liquor scam case on the night of March 21. On March 22, the court sent them to ED remand till March 28 and since April 1, they have been locked up in Tihar Jail.

Kejriwal filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against his arrest and remand to the custody of the investigating agency, but it was dismissed. The court had said in its verdict that Kejriwal did not join the investigation despite repeated summons. So the only option left with the ED was to arrest them.
