The only road leading to the Sasquatch Mountain Resort near Mission has been briefly re-opened after it was blocked by a mudslide on Friday.
A Transportation Ministry spokeswoman says emergency repairs had progressed enough to allow for a one-way opening of the road for a short time to allow those still stuck at the resort to drive out of the area.
But she says in a statement that a lot of work still needs to be done before the road can be opened up to regular traffic.
More than 500 hundred guests, employees and area residents were trapped on the mountain Friday night, but helicopters had managed to ferry up to 250 people out of the area by late yesterday at a cost of 150-dollars each.
