NIA raided many places in Punjab

On this occasion, the officers took Amarjit Kaur, the wife of Amritpal Singh's uncle Parhat Singh, to Beas police station, where they interrogated her for about five hours.

In the early hours of Friday, the NIA conducted raids at 13 different places in the state. According to police sources, these raids were in connection with the attack on the Indian High Commission in Canada in 2023.

The NIA raided the houses of relatives of Amritpal Singh, an independent Lok Sabha member from Khadur Sahib and Khalistan Hamaiti, in Butala village, Jalupur Khera and Raya Feruman town.

On this occasion, the officers took Amarjit Kaur, the wife of Amritpal Singh's uncle Parhat Singh, to Beas police station, where they interrogated her for about five hours. The investigation team has asked Parhat Singh to appear at the Chandigarh office on September 26.

Amritpal Singh's uncle, Sukhchain Singh, alleged that the NIA was repeatedly asking questions about Khalistan, but he never mentioned it.
