Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada is ending a very bad year in much better shape than its international counterparts.
This is could be Trudeau's final news conference of the year.
Trudeau told reporters at the news conference that Canada is on a stronger health and financial footing than other countries, including the United States.
Trudeau says Canada is set to receive 125,000 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech per week in January, for a total of 500,000 doses next month.
As well he says 168,000 doses of Moderna's vaccine candidate are scheduled to arrive by the end of the month, pending regulatory approval.
