The wildfire situation is continually evolving, and the information below is current as of 7 p.m. (Pacific time) on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021.

Wildfires currently burning in B.C.: 249

Since April 1, 2021:

1,551 wildfires

861,283 hectares of area burned

Active fires by fire centre:

Cariboo: 26

Coastal: 18

Kamloops: 86

Northwest: 5

Prince George: 52

Southeast: 62

Resources:

Firefighters and other personnel currently fighting the fires: 3,374

Out-of-province firefighters: 464

Helicopters and planes supporting ground crews: 161

Evacuations:

Evacuation orders: 48 (-6)

Evacuation alerts: 96 (-15)

Properties:

Number of properties on order: 3,746 (-36)

Number of properties on alert: 11,351 (-1,474)
